About TWO EARS ONE MOUTH
This is a unique opportunity for thirty men to gather together to create a stronger weave in the fabric of humanity. An opportunity to dive deep into this sharing of our collective way with these thirty breath instruments. And to come into a fuller understanding of the power inherent in this sound.
We will open ourselves into new realms of possibilities with these instruments as allies for our mental, spiritual and physical health.
This is about the cup that overflows. Each of us attuning to our true sound to allow the good force inside us to fill our beings and overflow into the world around us.
Lionel, Jon and Si connect to share their collective understandings and wisdom. Enlivening our minds and to inspire this same feeling to underpin our playing for the rest of our lives.
This is a one way Portal into a new way of being.
This is about learning to lead with the heart. It’s about letting the achievement mind go and letting the greater forces that are needed to speak. Too many things are judged on their external merits, however this is about feeling and valuing the internal merit of things using your own inner compass and barometer. Allowing our inner knowing to speak. About listening deeply to each other and connecting to country as the source of our energy and power.
In a world overrun with facades and hollow promises this is a real meeting place. Something truly needed, in the way of the world and in the greater expansion of the cosmos.

Your Guides & What YOU Will Experience
Living Culture founder, Gunditjmara Kirrae Wurrung-Bundjalung man, Lionel Lauch invites a group of 30 men to take part in an immersive cultural & bridging experience that reconnects participants with ancient knowledge, the stories and practices of his People.
Lionel shares traditions that have been passed down through many generations; creating a respectful space where participants can step away from the fast pace of modern life and learn directly from Country and Culture.
Lionel has the blessings of the local Boon Wurrung and Bunurong community to share traditional knowledge and stories specific to the area.
What Participants will Experience
Deep Listening
Participants begin by slowing down and practicing deep listening. Being fully present with the land, with each other and with the stories being shared. This practice encourages reflection, respect and a deeper connection to Country, Culture and to each other.
Make your own Clapstick Workshop
Clapsticks are traditional percussion instruments used in ceremony, song, and storytelling. In this hands-on workshop, participants learn about their cultural significance and how rhythm connects people to song lines and cultural expression. Everyone will have the opportunity to create their own unique set of clapsticks to take home with them as a physical link to this moment in time.
Storytelling
Through storytelling Lionel shares narratives passed down through generations. These ancestral stories carry knowledge about the land, law, identity and clarify the relationships between people, animals and the environment.
Bush Foods Exploration
Participants are introduced to bush foods that are traditionally gathered and prepared. This experience highlights the deep ecological knowledge embedded in Indigenous food systems and reveals sustainable ways of living in harmony with the land.
Learning the Traditional Ways on Country
Being “on Country” means learning directly from the landscape itself. Participants gain insight into Lionel’s perspective on stewardship, connection to place and cultural responsibility. Fostering an understanding of how land, culture and community are all intertwined.
The Purpose of the Gathering
This experience is designed to foster respect, understanding, and reconnection. By limiting the group to 30 men, the gathering creates a more personal and reflective environment where participants can engage deeply with the teachings and with each other.
Through listening, making, sharing food, and hearing stories, participants are invited to walk along the pathways of a “Living Culture”
“I teach respect & healing and I help other people, black or white, to get through their problems, as I have experienced a great deal of what life can throw at you.”

In his early twenties Si had an epiphany that he was a didgeridoo player. The moment was so absolute that he left life as he knew it, quit medical school, borrowed a didgeridoo from his uncle and hitchhiked into the Australian outback.
He learned to play by listening to country. Following his intuition & taking time out with the original people of this land.
He realised that the playing of Australia’s iconic instrument was a complete spiritual path and he renounced all other aspects of life to single pointedly follow this central passion.
This was 1993. From then till now he has maintained this singular commitment to play didgeridoo, having toured the world countless times with his band Wild Marmalade and formed Dream Drone alongside maker & best mate Jon Worsley.
Si is one of the most influential didgeridoo players of our time, respected by indigenous players and players from all over the world.
The Experience
Si’s playing is underpinned by a powerful system that embraces all aspects of what it is to be human. It’s a methodology that holds the well-being of the player in the centre and navigates through the following of the good feeling on the inside. As a tree grows to the sun a player also needs to navigate towards this inner sun.
Si teaches how to create an ally from your instrument. To move on from the performative aspect of being a player & to allow the deeper meaning to resonate.
He teaches rhythmic breathing structures that harness energy from the universe using the power of the breath, the voice and a fundamental resonant tone of the instruments themselves.
Si calls this the infinite energy cycle.
This is about you.
This is about you becoming more you and allowing your unique resonance to resonate.
These instruments are amplifiers for our internal state of being. Residing in an inner state of harmony whilst playing is the key of keys to creating this, the sound of sounds in the moment of moments.
Si teaches wholehearted Awareness.
Once we have our connection to country and are stable in our beingness, our calm confidence in who we are, we are then able to access the sizzling force of our Awareness, the blade that cuts space time and creates meaningful change in the world.
Si opens the vault of his methodology for the first time to enable players to find their true sound and authentic resonance.
Polyrhythmic turbo charged wild energy created through the power of listening, breathing and gathering with our brothers on country.

I am a proud Yorta Yorta and Gunai Kurnai man. My family are from the Lake Tyers and Cummeragunja aboriginal communities in Victoria, however I now live and work in Qld on the lands of the Mununjali clan speakers of the Yugambeh Language.
My passion for Bush tucka cooking, fishing and hunting food has been a lifelong journey for me, and something I really chose to dive deep and understand better in the last 15 years.
I am passionate about reviving our ancestors ancient food practices, regenerating our land and contributing to more holistic and sustainable outcomes for our communities and our people, while also bridging the knowledge and technology that the Western aspect of Australia and australian people can help bring to the table.
I believe we can't move forward without an understanding and respectful blending of both these systems. Cooking is a passion for me and I love to bring healthy foods that can be shared and cooked amongst others and bring people together, I really look forward to sharing my creations and energy with you mob and I am really grateful and thankful to be apart of this journey with you.
I hold Jon, Si and Lionel in deep respect and I am thankful I get to learn and work alongside them to bring this gathering together. The Yidaki has been something I was raised with and helped shape my childhood and life through my father John Briggs, who started his yidaki journey in the 1980s and passed that onto me.
I have spent many months in Arnhem land learning to play, cut, craft and dance to the yidaki, I have a deep love and respect for the Yolngu and their creation that they have brought to the world from the dreaming.
Please feel free to yarn and ask me questions or jump in the kitchen if you feel called too I look forward to meeting you in person :) yoway
