ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

Each area has ceremonies significant to the Country you are on.

Uncle Lionel no longer offers Cleansing Ceremonies for events. You can book an Acknowledgement to Country with Living Culture and Uncle Lionel via our bookings.

Smoking/Cleansings:

A smoking and or cleansing ceremony protects both physically and spiritually, covering many things, including shifting bad energy, marking births, deaths, welcomes by traditional owners clans Country, Acknowledgement, celebration and healing.

Welcome to Country:
A Welcome to Country (WTC) can only be done by someone who is a Traditional Owner (T.O) of Country
(unless special permission is granted by the T.O’s)
eg Bunurong/Boonwurung. A Welcome is an obligation to protect your guests both physically and spiritually. For a WTC please contact your local land council to direct to T.O. If you are on Bunurong/Boonwurung Country, you can contact Bunurong Land Council here.

Acknowledgement to Country:
